The Heart Chakra, also known as Anahata in Sanskrit which means “unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten”, is related to love, compassion and connection with others. The heart chakra is connected to the physical heart, but it also represents emotional aspects of a person. If your Heart Chakra is balanced, you will feel like you share unconditional love with everyone. The balance of this chakra can be disrupted by fear or anger, which can lead to physical illness.
It’s number four on a traditional chakra chart (some schools of thought have it as number five). It represents love, compassion, forgiveness and joy—all positive emotions that make us feel good. It also helps us connect with others: through friendship, family or romance. Its colour is green.
The Importance of A Balanced Heart Chakra
A healthy heart chakra is a sign that you are able to share unconditional love with everyone. This means feeling a sense of peace and calm, being able to empathise with others, and being open to new experiences. If your heart chakra is balanced, you will be in touch with your sense of self-worth. Your outlook on life will be positive and you won’t let other people’s opinions affect how much value you place on yourself as a human being.
